When I got my first computer, it opened up a whole world of comics and illustrations for me. I had a collection of images, and the works of Joseph Michael Linsner had a special place in it. I instantly fell in love with the red-haired beauty – main character from “Cry for Dawn” comic. I still have every illustration of her! I think I have them all.
It was only a matter of time before I’d cosplay her. I chose this look because it’s one of the most memorable from her extensive wardrobe (and one of the most modest). The costume was pretty simple in its armor-craft parts, but the sewing part was quite tricky: a complex jumpsuit design, puffed sleeves, pants with decorative stripes (each one hand-sewn), a detailed mesh insert on the chest (hand-drew the pattern on it), plus a cape. Overall, I had to put in a lot of work. But I’m so happy I could bring this look to life!
